Position Summary

The Regional Operations Manager is responsible for the overview of the operations, purchasing / budgeting, HSE, and quality control of plants within their respective region.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Overseeing Operations : Managing the overall manufacturing operations within a designated region, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and quality standards are met.
  • Strategic Planning : Developing and implementing strategic plans to optimize manufacturing processes, improve operational performance, and achieve business objectives.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control : Managing financial resources, preparing budgets, and monitoring expenses to maintain cost-effectiveness and profitability.
  • Team Management : Leading and supervising a team of manufacturing supervisors, engineers, and staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Process Improvement : Identifying areas for process improvement, implementing Lean and Six Sigma type methodologies, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Supply Chain Management : Collaborating with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of raw materials, manage inventory levels, and optimize supply chain operations.
  • Quality Assurance : Implementing and maintaining quality control systems, adhering to regulatory requirements, and ensuring products meet quality standards.
  • Safety and Compliance : Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment, and implementing risk management procedures.
  • Stakeholder Management : Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, sales / marketing, logistics and tech services to align manufacturing operations with business objectives and customer requirements.
  • Reporting and Analysis : Collecting and analyzing operational data, preparing reports, and preparing presented key performance indicators to senior management.

Required Qualifications

  • University degree in science, engineering, math, or technology.
  • 10 + years of management in a manufacturing role and an in-depth knowledge of production systems and facility operations.
  • Valid Driver’s license.
  • 5 Years experience managing a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products such as Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, Access.
