Role & Responsibilities:
The Workforce Intelligence Analyst reports directly to Senior Director, Workforce Development and works closely with Senior Advisors. The role combines workforce analytics, data management, business intelligence, and statistical analysis to identify workforce trends, skill and competency gaps, talent availability, capacity constraints, and future workforce requirements.
- Design and build the initial data architecture for the labour intelligence data lake, structured around the KSBA framework (Knowledge, Skill, Behaviour, Attitude) and aligned to NCCER, CII, PMI, and AACE credentialing standards.
- Build and maintain data pipelines that ingest, clean, and structure competency and availability data from disparate sources into a consistent, analysis-ready model.
- Apply data science and statistical methods — forecasting, clustering, classification, and other predictive techniques.
- Define and maintain data standards, taxonomies, and definitions across every source feeding the data lake, and document architecture and lineage clearly.
- Embed data capture protocols directly into Pillar 1 advisory engagement templates so every demand profile, gap analysis, sourcing plan, and training outcome is captured systematically from the first client engagement onward.
- Own data quality and completeness against the practice's KSBA-scored records targets.
- Partner directly with Senior Advisors to ensure competency-level data is structured and captured correctly at the source, and translate analytical findings into plain-language input they can use with clients.
- Work with Legal and the COO to implement the four-tier data classification.
- Lay the data-architecture and analytics groundwork workforce intelligence dashboard.
- Track and report data lake growth, quality, and coverage against the practice's milestone gates.
- Train and support Senior Advisors and other internal users on how to query, interpret, and apply the data lake and any early dashboards or models
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Economics, Human Resources, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in workforce analytics, people analytics, business intelligence, data analytics, labour-market intelligence, data science, or a related field.
- Experience analyzing large and complex datasets and translating findings into actionable business recommendations.
- Experience working with workforce, project-resource, competency, or labour-market data is preferred.
- Experience within engineering, construction, infrastructure, utilities, energy, manufacturing, or other project-based industries is considered an asset.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Experience with Python and/or R for data analysis, statistical modeling, automation, and predictive analytics.
- Strong experience with Power BI, Tableau, or comparable business intelligence and visualization platforms.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Understanding of data modeling, relational databases, data warehouses, data lakes, ETL processes, and data integration principles.
- Knowledge of descriptive statistics, forecasting, segmentation, clustering, classification, trend analysis, and predictive analytics.
- Familiarity with HRIS, ATS, ERP, PMIS, workforce management, or related enterprise systems is an asset.

Salary Range for Role $ 120,000 - $125,000
Compensation at PTAG varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
