Randstad is seeking an experienced and motivated Shunt Driver to join a leading transportation and logistics provider in Calgary who are committed to deliver efficient and reliable services to their clients.
As a Shunt Driver with Forklift Experience, you will be responsible for maneuvering trailers within the yard and facility, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. You will also operate forklifts to load, unload and organize good as needed. This role requires a high level of attention to safety, precision and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Starting hourly pay of $21 to $23 an hour
Location : SE Calgary
Shift : starts at 5 : 00 am

Responsibilities
Operate a shunt truck to move trailers and containers within the yard or designated areas safely.
Safely load and unload cargo using forklifts, ensuring all goods are handled carefully and efficiently.
Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment, reporting any issues or malfunctions.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company procedures.
Assist in maintaining an organized and clean yard.
Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure the smooth flow of goods and shipments.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Shunt Driver with forklift operation experience.
Valid forklift certification and driver’s license (Class 1)
Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
Ability to operate shunt trucks and forklifts in a safe and efficient manner.
Excellent communication skills and a strong team player.
Ability to work in all weather conditions and manage physically demanding tasks.
Previous experience in a transportation or logistics company is preferred but not required
