AppleOne is hiring a Production Operator in Welland, ON!
Rotating shifts: 6:00am – 6:00pm & 6:00pm – 6:00am
Pay: $22 - $25/hour
Job Description:
•Loading/unloading of finished products and various chemicals as per Logistics scheduling, while ensuring quality is maintained.
• HMI (Human Machine Interface) and Accuload/Microload control panel operation
• Adhering to Terminal and Rail yard safety in conjunction with rail shunting services
• Communication with plant and rail shunting services when completing rail switches
• Safely accessing rail cars, chemical trucks and storage tank wearing proper fall arrest equipment
• Completion and submitting of all relevant documentation including, checklists, bill of ladings, scale tickets and last contained/wash tickets
• Transfer of finished product to rail cars and trucks
• Unloading of raw materials to storage tanks
• Receiving of dry goods and chemical totes
• Routine field readings and inspection of equipment
• Safe handling of chemicals, wearing appropriate PPE
• Telehandler Operation, loading and unloading trucks and material handling
• Equipment maintenance and small repairs
• Monitoring and management of waste water systems, sanitary and storm water systems
• Sampling and testing of finished product and raw materials.
Job Requirements:
• Knowledge of Transportation of Dangerous Goods an asset
• HMI experience an asset
• Telehandler experience an asset
• Trouble shooting experience and/or mechanically inclined
• Comfortable with chemical handling
• Comfortable with physically demanding aspect of the role
• Comfortable with heights, climbing ladders, up to 40 feet
• Must have a car & license
