Morrison Hershfield’s Horizontal Infrastructure (HI) Business Unit has developed some of the Canadian market’s most notable infrastructure projects and we are highly committed to delivering outstanding quality while meeting our clients’ needs. Our team of Planners, Engineers and Contract Administrators deliver infrastructure solutions that drive economic growth and social prosperity.Responsibilities:
Oversee design process from feasibility through completion and liaise directly with clients on major projects
Perform detailed electrical design work and review the work of junior designers.
Direct CAD team for drawing preparation and review deliverables prior to submission to client
Prepare written reports based on building electrical assessments and audits
Prepare written tender documents and technical specifications. Evaluate products and contractor proposals in order to make award recommendations to owner
Work with management to develop business strategies related to new clients and potential growth areas in electrical engineering
Assist with proposal preparation and contacting new clients to grow business
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
P.Eng. registration in Canada
Minimum 6 years of experience in engineering consulting
CAD experience is required
Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD 2006/2004/2008/2010.
Knowledge of lighting software and basic engineering is preferred
Strong communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects within a fast paced environment
