Transit operator Jobs in Kitchener, ON

We are seeking an experienced nanny to look after a 3-year-old in Jr Kindergarten. We are looking for someone who can come around 1-2pm, do some light housekeeping, then pick up the child from Kindergarten around 2:30pm and look after him till around 8pm. The job is Monday through Friday, so 5 days a week starting in early September. # Requirements * We are looking for someone with experience who has previously worked as a nanny. * Non-smoker only * This is a proper job which will be reported as such for Canadian taxes. We cannot hire informally or pay cash without tax. * We are located in northern Waterloo, about 10 minute walk west from Sobey's Northfield. Please consider what your transit would look like and if you are ok with that. # The Child Our son is currently 3 years old and his favorite activities are math, reading, and exploring. We do not have a TV in the living room, so he has access to many books which he is learning to read. In particular, he loves math and counting-related books. He also likes to wander around the neighborhood and explore. He likes looking at things like cats, and random objects he is learning about, like words on signs. A nanny needs to be ok with walking and have a cell phone so they can find their way back. # Child Pickup The kindergarten is about a 10 minute walk from our house through a low-traffic area. They do not allow pickup by car, so it is necessary to walk. # Lite Housekeeping We are looking for help with laundry, dishwasher, cleaning up toys, and cleaning the floor in spaces the child uses. # Dates / Times The start date is early September just after Labor day. It is roughly 1-8pm or 2-8pm M-F. These times are somewhat negotiable, but do need to cover the after-school hours. We also budget some time before child pickup for housekeeping as we know that it is very challenging to do these tasks while watching a child. Optionally, the role also covers days when the child gets sick. It is not required that you cover these times, but if you are open to it, you will be the first person we ask. This offers the option of getting more hours if you want them. However, this flexibility is not a requirement of the role. # Pay We are offering $22/hr but are open to paying more for a more experienced nanny.
