Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer with a passion for urban infrastructure to contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of major municipal projects. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of assignments that have a tangible impact on citizens’ quality of life, working within multidisciplinary teams recognized for their expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design and coordination of urban infrastructure projects, including roadworks, water distribution and sewer systems, as well as urban developments and parks
  • Carry out and/or review technical studies (road geometry, drainage, profiles, pavement structures, etc.)
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams (environmental, traffic, structural, geotechnical)
  • Ensure projects comply with applicable provincial standards, codes, and guidelines
  • Provide technical support during the construction phase
  • Participate in discussions with municipal clients and partners, and help maintain strong professional relationships

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of New Brunswick (APEGNB), or eligible for registration
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, including municipal, urban, and/or provincial infrastructure projects in Canada.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable standards, codes, and practices in New Brunswick
  • Strong autonomy, professional rigor, and team-oriented mindset
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), or eligible for registration (an asset to support projects in Québec)
  • Bilingual (English and French)
