Job Title : Wedding & Catering Coordinator

Location : Mt. Washington, Comox Valley

Employment Type : Permanent, Variable Hours Position (20-40 hours per week depending on season)

Compensation :  $24-$26 per hour

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Coordinator to help us bring these experiences to life.

Job Summary : As The Catering Coordinator at Mt. Washington, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of catered events, including summer weddings, banquets, and retreats. Your primary goal will be to ensure that each event runs smoothly and exceeds our clients' expectations. This role requires a high level of organization, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Wedding & Catering Planning and Coordination : Work closely with clients to understand their vision and requirements for weddings and catered events.Develop detailed event plans, timelines, and checklists.Coordinate with vendors, including food and beverage, contracted assistance , and entertainment providers.Manage event logistics, such as transportation and equipment rentals.
• On-Site Event Management : Supervise event setup, execution, and takedown.Ensure all catered details are executed as planned, addressing any issues that arise.Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and vendors on the day of the catered event.Maintain a high standard of customer service and professionalism throughout the wedding or catered event.
• Administrative Duties : Maintain accurate records of event details, contracts, and financial transactions.Assist in creating and managing catering budgets.Prepare and distribute event-related communications and marketing materials.Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
