Job descriptionThe specific hours of this position are to be determined based on the funding received. Hours must be completed between Monday and Friday 9 : 00 am and 5 : 00 pm (as per grant rules). All hours of this position will must be completed by Friday August 30, 2025 (as per grant rules). Assists residents to function more independently in their own homes and in the community. Assists residents with daily life skills, social skills, and / or behaviour management. Nurtures opportunities and assists residents with activities such as grooming, basic cooking, money management, shopping, household safety, andpet care. Facilitates physical, recreational, educational, social, and vocationalactivities. Recognizes, analyzes, and deals with potential emergency situations such as aggressive behaviour(s) to minimize potential harm to others and / or thepublic. Maintains oversight of the building as required to mitigate conflict amongst residents and / or other persons accessing theproperty. Identifies social, economic, recreational, physical, vocational, andeducationalservices in the community that will meet clients’ needs. Maintains liaison with other agencies, professionals, government officials, and the community. Along with the other residence staff, monitors and ensures effective operation ofthefacility including quality control concerning cleaning equipment, indoor and outdoor maintenance, inventory, and food services. ROLE PURPOSE
In this position you provide various support to clients within residential community setting to meet the clients emotional, personal and physical needs. We designed this position to foster learning of its incumbent and will provide hands-on learning opportunities.
Our Supportive Housing program provides safe and secure housing and wraparound support to people at risk of, or experiencing, homelessness. This program offers 24 / 7 support services that are tailored to the self-identified needs and goals of each resident.
STATUS
- This is an exempt position.
- This is a temporary Summer 2025 position for 8 weeks for 35 hours per week, starting immediately.
- This position is open to applicants of all genders.
- This position is subject to Connective receiving funding

COMPENSATION
Compensation for this position will be $25.95.
Important : Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada, observe their weekly hours limit if under a temporary or study visa, and provide proof of eligibility if selected for the role.
