Structural welder Jobs in Markham, ON

We are seeking a skilled Welder / Fitter with a minimum of 5 years of experience and a valid CWB certification . The ideal candidate will be responsible for fitting, welding, and fabricating metal components according to drawings and specifications while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform fitting and welding of metal components as per blueprints and drawings

Read and interpret fabrication drawings, symbols, and weld specifications

Weld using approved CWB procedures (MIG, Flux-Core, Stick, as applicable)

Fit structural steel, plates, beams, and pipes accurately

Inspect welds to ensure quality and compliance with standards

Operate welding and fabrication tools safely and efficiently

Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Meet production schedules and quality requirements

Follow all safety policies and procedures

Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Welder / Fitter

Valid CWB certification (mandatory)

Strong ability to read and understand blueprints and weld symbols

Experience with structural steel and fabrication work

Knowledge of welding codes and safety standards

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong attention to detail and workmanship

Preferred (Asset)

Additional welding processes or positions

Forklift or overhead crane experience

Shop or site experience
