Job description

HireArt is helping our client find a Sr. Technical Product Manager - Operations Software (Robot Startup) to lead the development and optimization of software systems that power robot operations at scale.

In this role, you’ll own and evolve a portfolio of operations-focused software products, driving strategy, roadmap, and execution to improve system performance, reliability, and overall fleet efficiency.

The ideal candidate is a technically strong product manager who thrives in complex, fast-moving environments. You are curious, systems-minded, and skilled at driving alignment across cross-functional teams without direct authority.

As a Sr Technical Product Manager, you'll:
  • Own and steward the operations software product line, including defining vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Identify opportunities to improve how robotic systems are deployed, utilized, and maintained.
  • Partner closely with design, engineering, and technical program management to define, prioritize, and deliver high-impact features.
  • Translate operational challenges into scalable software solutions and product requirements.
  • Define and track key metrics to measure system health, performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment and execution across stakeholders in engineering, operations, and leadership.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree
  • 6+ years of product management experience
  • Proven experience owning products across the full product lifecycle
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand backend systems, APIs, web applications, and technical tradeoffs
  • Experience driving collaboration and influencing outcomes across cross-functional teams without direct authority
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Ability to break down complex systems and translate them into clear product strategies

Bonus Qualifications:
  • Experience managing products in robotics, automation, or operations-focused software environments
  • Experience working closely with operations or maintenance teams
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Experience scaling products in fast-growing or complex organizations
  • Strong ability to simplify and communicate complex technical concepts

Benefits:
  • Pre-tax commuter benefits
  • Employer (HireArt) Subsidized healthcare benefits (eligibility begins on the first of the month following 60 days of service)
  • Flexible Spending Account for healthcare-related costs
  • HireArt covers all costs for short and long-term disability and life insurance
  • 401k package

Commitment: This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via HireArt. It will be hybrid and available to candidates who are local to the Foster City, CA area.

HireArt values diversity and is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. Unfortunately, we are not able to sponsor visas or employ corp-to-corp.
