Join our Edmonton client for a high impact contract engagement as a Senior Tester within their Major Capital projects group. This five month initial contract, starting April 1, 2026, offers the chance to play a critical role in ensuring the quality and stability of large scale systems through a hybrid work model. You will collaborate with diverse business and IT teams to deliver top tier solutions in a fast paced, professional environment that values technical excellence and precision.
Advantages • Opportunity to work on high profile major capital projects for a prominent organization. • Flexible hybrid work arrangement requiring only two days per week on site in Edmonton. • Potential for contract extensions beyond the initial August 31, 2026, end date. • Collaborative environment working alongside both technical experts and business stakeholders. • Exposure to complex software implementations and structured testing frameworks.
Responsibilities • Collaborate with multiple business and IT teams to ensure high quality end deliverables. • Maintain the quality and stability of systems throughout the entire project lifecycle. • Create and execute system integration and user acceptance testing scenarios. • Manage data setup and develop detailed testing scripts for various project phases. • Document all testing results accurately to track progress and identify issues. • Define specific components for testing and assign relative priority to each. • Manage multiple assignments and deliverables simultaneously to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications • Minimum of five years of experience in information technology and complex software testing. • Proven ability to develop and execute test scripts within structured methodologies. • Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. • Effective written and verbal communication skills for both technical and business audiences. • Experience with test management frameworks such as Zephyr or VSO and reporting testing.
