If you're an experienced retail leader who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, we'd love to hear from you.

We are currently seeking a Store Operations Manager to join our senior leadership team. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and daily operations of one of our retail grocery stores, ensuring operational excellence while inspiring your team to deliver an exceptional shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create an exceptional customer experience by ensuring prompt, knowledgeable, and courteous service at every interaction.
  • Provide strategic leadership and communicate a clear vision for the store, aligning daily operations with company goals.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive workplace where team members are engaged, supported, and empowered to perform at their best.
  • Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain high-performing team members while building future leaders within the organization.
  • Champion food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety, ensuring all standards and regulations are consistently met.
  • Provide regular coaching, performance feedback, and development opportunities to help team members succeed.
  • Serve as a proud ambassador of the Pete's Frootique & Fine Foods brand by living our mission and core values every day.
  • Lead by example with a hands-on, "all-in" approach that inspires accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Drive operational efficiency while achieving financial objectives, sales targets, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

What We're Looking For

You are a passionate retail professional with proven leadership experience and a genuine love of food and customer service. You bring strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to building engaged, high-performing teams.

Qualifications:

  • Previous retail management experience, with grocery experience considered a strong asset.
  • Comprehensive understanding of retail operations across all store departments.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business or a related field is considered an asset, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Success in This Role

The ideal candidate is:

  • Passionate – Enthusiastic about food, innovation, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Accountable – Takes ownership of results while holding themselves and others to high standards.
  • Adaptable – Responds positively to changing priorities and leads confidently through challenges.
  • A Strong Leader – Empowers others, delegates effectively, and balances day-to-day priorities with long-term objectives.
  • A Team Developer – Identifies, mentors, and develops future leaders to support the continued growth of the business.
  • A Change Leader – Successfully manages operational priorities while embracing continuous improvement.
  • Customer Focused – Leads by example and consistently reinforces outstanding customer service expectations.
  • Financially Responsible – Understands the business, manages resources effectively, and delivers on budgeted financial goals and KPIs.

Why Join Pete's Frootique & Fine Foods?

We believe our people are our greatest asset. That's why we offer:

  • Competitive compensation and incentive programs
  • Comprehensive health benefits
  • Group RRSP program
  • Employee discounts
  • Paid training and professional development
  • A supportive, collaborative, and fun work environment
  • Opportunities for career growth within a growing organization
