Job description

Plant Production Manager

Our client is a food production company in the meat and protein processing space.

The Plant Manager provides overall leadership and direction for daily production operations, ensuring a safe, efficient, and results-driven work environment grounded in humility and teamwork. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on support across all areas of the plant, including abattoir.

Responsibilities:

Manage daily plant operations, including production, processing, packaging, maintenance, and shipping activities.
Ensure compliance with all food safety, HACCP, sanitation, animal welfare, and regulatory requirements.
Monitor production schedules to achieve customer demand, productivity targets, and cost objectives.
Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and plant employees to promote a safe and productive work environment.
Maintain high standards for product quality and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

Post Secondary in Food Science, Agriculture, Business, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
Minimum 5 years of management experience in food manufacturing or meat processing operations - abattoir experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, food safety systems, and regulatory requirements.
Proven leadership and team management skills.

Salary up to 95-100,000 range depending on experience.
