Location: Markham (4 days onsite, 8.00 AM to 4.30 PM)
Duration - 12 months
Top 3 Required Skills: COBOL, DB2, CICS
Pay rate 45 to 50 CAD/ Hr.
Introduction
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mainframe Developer to join our dynamic team for a 12-month contract. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mainframe development and be proficient in COBOL, DB2, and CICS. This is an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a collaborative environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6 years of code development experience in COBOL and JCL
- 6 years of development experience using VSAM, DB2, and IMS DB/DC
- Expertise in IBM Mainframe tools such as FileAid/File Manager, Spufii, and Changeman
- Proficiency in IBM Mainframe utilities like DFSORT, IEBGENER, IDCAMS, and ICETOOL
- Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge in REXX and SAS programming
- Familiarity with Scrum methods, JIRA, and ServiceNOW
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features
- Utilize mainframe tools and utilities to optimize application performance
