As a Risk Analyst with the Alternative Projects Expertise Center (APEX) team in Pomerleau, you will be responsible for supporting data management to optimize risk analysis and management. Working on large-scale projects ranging from several million dollars to $1 billion, you will manage the risk database, support projection analyses, and facilitate interfaces with risk-related IT systems.
What You Will Do
- Set up customized reports via risk tools or other technology, reflecting risk profile KPIs by project or division, and for Gating reviews (internal process).
- Support the analysis of Monte Carlo model outputs from risk analyses and produce validation results for internal or external parties.
- Maintain, control, and review risk data meticulously by designing programs, documentation, and systems to the required standards.
- Compile data from various databases using advanced Excel functions to support unit reviews.
- Support the development of scripts on work tools to build project-specific scenarios and risk simulations.
- Participate in implementing API connections between risk tools and external platforms, such as Power BI and Salesforce.
- Assist the planning and estimating team with data sharing for cost, lead time risk analysis, and activity uncertainties.
- Consolidate weather data and maintain lessons learned on weather risks and market economic analyses.
