About the Role
We are looking for an Apprentice Carpenter with at least one year of construction or carpentry experience to join our growing team. This is more than just a role—it’s an opportunity to develop your skills, learn from seasoned professionals, and apply your God‑given talent to meaningful projects. Our ideal hire is motivated, reliable, and eager to grow into a skilled tradesperson while embodying Oaken’s values of trust and accountability.
What You’ll Do
- Assist carpenters with framing, finishing, and installation work across custom residential projects
- Learn to read and interpret construction drawings, gaining hands‑on experience with layouts and measurements
- Safely operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and equipment under supervision
- Support site preparation, material handling, and job‑site cleanup to keep projects running efficiently
- Practice proper building techniques while continuously developing technical skills
- Uphold safety standards, contributing to a secure and organized work environment
- Demonstrate initiative, reliability, and accountability as you grow into greater responsibility
