Job description

Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and driven Heavy Vehicle Business Specialist to support and grow the Heavy Vehicle and Industrial sector of our business within Eastern Ontario.

This role is solely focused on driving Heavy Vehicle and Industrial growth by working across all levels of the sales chain — from suppliers and vendors to store teams and end-user customers. The primary focus will be product selection, effective store inventory management, pricing strategy and maintenance, and delivering extensive product training to our teams.

Salary Range: $66,700 – $83,400 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

We offer a competitive compensation package that includes a comprehensive benefits program, access to corporate discounts, and ongoing training and development opportunities to support your professional growth throughout your career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the inventory assortment of Heavy Vehicle products across Eastern Ontario, including assortment planning, order points, replenishment, product file maintenance, and pricing uploads in partnership with the Purchasing Clerk.
  • Coordinate with the Distribution Centre and vendors to ensure effective store-level inventory management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support pricing strategies, account profiles, discount planning, and margin objectives.
  • Conduct sales planning with the sales team, identifying target accounts and products to drive Heavy Vehicle growth while aligning initiatives across departments.
  • Present Heavy Vehicle initiatives to district teams and engage with customers as needed to support growth strategies.
  • Develop, update, and deliver engaging product and sales training for store staff and the sales team, ensuring comprehension and retention.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert and primary technical resource for Heavy Vehicle-related inquiries, building strong cross-functional relationships.

Qualifications

To join our team, you need:

  • Post-secondary education required; Heavy Vehicle industry experience preferred (store management/operations experience an asset)
  • Strong communication, training, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to gain buy-in from store teams, suppliers, and vendors
  • Solid technical product knowledge, along with strong business and financial acumen
  • Computer proficiency; experience with TAMS or product file management systems an asset
