Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Execution : Develop, implement, and oversee the project plan to establish the inter-professional family medicine clinic. The clinic will be located at the Community Centre for Wellbeing at the University of Lethbridge.
- Stakeholder Engagement : Facilitate collaboration between various healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, social workers, and administrative staff.
- Resource Management : Allocate resources effectively to ensure the project progresses within budget and on schedule.
- Quality Assurance : Ensure that the clinic meets accreditation standards, highest standards of care, and adheres to the principles of the medical home.
- Risk Management : Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Communication : Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, including the University administration, healthcare professionals, Alberta Health Services and / or Primary Care Alberta, and the Department of Family Medicine, University of Calgary.
- Reporting : Generate regular progress reports and present them to leadership of the Southern Alberta Medical Program (Associate Dean, SAMP).
It is hoped that the Community Facing Clinic will begin operations July 2027. This will be a 2-year term position.
The University of Lethbridge is undertaking a job classification and compensation review for Administrative Professional Officer (APO) positions. As such, the salary range currently assigned for this position may be adjusted as a result of this project.
Position Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience in project management or clinic manager skills.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the healthcare sector. Clinic manager skills considered a strong asset.
Skills
Knowledge
Understanding of the principles of the medical home model and inter-professional practice.
The successful candidate will be required to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check. A valid unrestricted Class 5 Driver’s License with no more than 6 demerits and submission of a motor vehicle record (driver abstract) dated within 3 months of the posting close is required.
Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)
$75,303.80 - $94,731.95 annually
Full Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)
$75,303.80 - $114,160.09 annually (APO - Grade 4)
