Job description

Are you a detail-oriented Business Analyst ready to contribute to impactful projects in the government energy sector? This is your chance to shape the future of energy infrastructure, bringing your expertise in business analysis to critical government initiatives.
We are seeking to hire a dynamic and experienced Business Analyst who also possesses strong project support skills. The ideal candidate will be looking for a dual role where they can lead analysis efforts and support project management requirements as needed. This role requires someone with a proven track record in gathering and documenting requirements, analyzing business processes, and making informed recommendations. Additionally, the candidate should have a deep understanding of project lifecycles and the ability to support project managers in achieving objectives within scope, time, and budget constraints. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities, as well as the flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and support the project management function where necessary. This is a unique opportunity for a professional who excels in both business analysis and project support to contribute to our organization’s success.
This Business Analyst role is for a government energy sector client. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT business analysis with proven experience working on previous government projects.

Location: Saskatoon or Regina

Responsibilities
Lead and facilitate requirements gathering sessions.
Analyze and document business processes, data flows, and system interactions.
Develop clear and concise functional and non-functional specifications.
Support project managers in planning, executing, and closing IT projects.
Communicate regularly with stakeholders and project teams.
Ensure compliance with government regulations and standards.



Qualifications
8+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst within the government sector.
Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies and tools.
Excellent communication and analytical skills.
CBAP/CCBA and/or Project Management training

Mandatory:
A strong IT background with experience working on Security and Infrastructure specific projects is desired.
Azure Experience/large and multiple project experience
