Description
:Provides assistance to Program Managers to organize and facilitate project planning activities.
Assists the program manager in developing and maintaining the Program Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
Organize, design, develop, and maintain an Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for projects and report on milestone status.
Performs analysis of the Integrated Master Schedule to include schedule variance analysis, critical path analysis, resource analysis, what-if scenarios.
Monitor schedule performance to include weekly and monthly variances.
Coordinates with program functional teams, integrated project teams, and other stakeholders (Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, etc.) to review and understand their schedule inputs/updates and address identified gaps or issues
Serves as the program’s schedule management subject matter expert and works with the program team and stakeholders to interpret and address schedule related items
Proactively identifies and communicates schedule dependencies, impacts and risks to the program management team
Participates and supports the program’s risk management and governance process
Develops IMS custom views and reports as required
Supports program and customer reviews
Required Skills:
Degree/Diploma in a technical discipline
Strong MS Project or other scheduling software experience
3+ years of scheduling experience for product development or manufacturing in the Electronics/aerospace/defense industry
The Candidate must be capable of acquiring NATO Secret security clearance and a Canadian Controlled Goods assessment to the satisfaction of the company.
Desired Skills:
Solid understanding of program scheduling processes and methodologies (PMP, PMI-SP)
Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills and ability to coordinate with multiple project teams
Experience applying integrated cost/schedule and critical path methodologies within an Earned Value Management (EVM) environment.
Experience scheduling medium/large complexity government and commercial development programs.
Experience managing project schedules with large subcontractor content
Effective verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills
Must possess excellent problem solving skills
Willing to travel up to 10% of time primarily to domestic locations
