Role Summary
The project manager oversees multiple mechanical construction projects within the major projects team and will be managing budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure successful delivery. This role works closely with foremen, subcontractors, and vendors to achieve financial and operational goals while maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Impact / Purpose
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to achieve financial targets.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while promoting Modern Niagara’s full-service offerings.
- Ensure safety and quality standards are upheld throughout project execution.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build project budgets, procure equipment and subcontractors, and manage billing and collections.
- Participate in estimating turnover, pre-construction, and post-construction meetings.
- Complete monthly financial forecasting and attend project status reviews.
- Attend client and construction meetings; communicate updates to teams and subcontractors.
- Manage and coordinate equipment and systems commissioning.
- Review contracts and determine project scope during pre-construction.
- Maintain safety standards across all project activities.
- Prepare and update WIP forecast sheets monthly.
- Conduct job site progress walks and monitor construction status.
- Create purchase orders for suppliers and subcontractors.
- Break out labor budgets and review with foremen; monitor labor progress and make financial decisions as needed.
Must-haves:
- Post-secondary degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Project Manager in construction.
- Experience with design build projects
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical construction drawings and documents.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, costs, and budgets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
- Ability to plan and manage project schedules effectively.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles (asset).
- Ability to work in both office and field environments with high interaction across teams.
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience overseeing manufacturing project lifecycles.
- Strong financial acumen and decision-making skills.
This is a new position and the salary range is between $90,000 - $105,000
