About the Position:
This is a regular part-time support staff Bargaining Unit position reporting to the Associate Director, Student Success & Access Programs working 24 hours per week at an hourly rate of $26.05
Performs the day to day functions associated with the operation and maintenance of the Breakfast Program within the Lion’s Heart to assist students with access to daily nutritional needs.
Specific Accountabilities:
• Shopping for groceries to fulfill breakfast program needs
• Assisting with the coordination of donation drop off and patron pick-ups
• Helping to organize and maintain the Lion’s Heart space
• Provide soft referrals, directing students who express additional needs, such as financial aid, counselling, or external organizations, including OntarioWorks and housing supports
• Create a tracking system that can collect anonymous data on program usage to help secure additional funding and grants
Qualifications:
• 2 year post-secondary dipolma
• 1 year of practical experience
