The Volunteer’s Role
As a volunteer, you will assist in the creation of results-based, gender-responsive planning, monitoring, and evaluation procedures and practices. You will enhance the skills of staff by providing training on the development and administration of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) tools for programming. Furthermore, you will aid in the implementation of these M&E tools across various ministries, including the establishment of database systems and conducting beneficiary impact assessments.
Your primary objective in this role is to bolster the capacity of the Gender Division and other ministries to monitor the effectiveness and performance of their services and programs. This includes the design of tools and systems for collecting gender-disaggregated data and conducting analysis of the information.
BLUEPRINTS is being rolled out in four countries : Dominica, Grenada, St. Lucia, and St. Vincent & the Grenadines. You will collaborate closely with three other M&E experts in Dominica, Grenada, and St. Lucia. Each country will also have the support of a Gender Expert, and you will work alongside a local In-Country Program Support Officer to coordinate assistance to the Gender Divisions and ministries.
As a volunteer, you will :
- Evaluate staff capabilities in utilizing M&E tools and systems to assess programs and services aimed at specific beneficiary groups.
- Assist in creating training materials and facilitate training sessions for personnel from various ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs), focusing on results-oriented, gender-sensitive planning, monitoring, and evaluation processes.
- Aid in the development of M&E systems and tools for gathering disaggregated data and performing beneficiary impact assessments.
- Contribute to the establishment of gender equality and results-oriented indicators to monitor and report on the effectiveness of program implementation, extending beyond just sex-disaggregated data.
