Job description
Are you a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator looking for a temporary 3 month mandate in Calgary? We are seeking a dedicated professional to manage payroll functions for our client who is a leader in logistics industry. This is a great chance to apply your expertise, particularly with Workday, in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal Payroll Administrator will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining compliance, and providing excellent service to employees. This role is a fantastic fit for someone who thrives on precision and is ready to make an immediate impact.

As a Payroll Administrator, you will be a key player in the financial operations of our clients, ensuring that every employee is paid accurately and on schedule. Your proficiency with Workday is a must-have for this role, as you will be responsible for navigating the system to process payroll, manage employee data, and generate reports. The ability to handle complex calculations and stay updated on ever-changing payroll legislation is critical for success. This role offers a competitive salary range of $25-$28 per hour.

Location: Balzac (Near Township Rd 262 & High Plains Way)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $25-28$/hr (Paid weekly)

Responsibilities
• Process full-cycle payroll for a high volume of employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage and process various payroll components, including salaries, wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
• Maintain and update employee information in Workday, including new hires, terminations, and changes to compensation..
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, benefits, and deductions with professionalism and discretion.
• Ensure strict compliance with all federal and provincial payroll laws and regulations.
• Generate and analyze payroll-related reports for management and accounting purposes.
• Collaborate with the human resources department to ensure accurate employee data.

Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar role.
• Proven experience with the Workday payroll system or any other software is a must.
• A strong understanding of Canadian payroll laws and regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a post-secondary certificate or degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus.
• Ability to pass a background check and provide professional references.
