The Opportunity
TheIndigenous and Northern Services Branch within the Ministry is seeking to fill a Senior Program Analyst in Saskatoon or Regina. The Senior Program Analyst plays an integral role in supporting the Saskatchewan Growth Plan and Labour Market Strategy and advancing the Ministry’s commitment to Truth and Reconciliation. This work centers on building strong relationships with First Nations, Métis, and northern communities to support pathways to employment and long-term career success while assisting employers to attract, recruit, and retain Indigenous talent.
Reporting to the Director, you will :
- Provide analysis and advice on new and emerging opportunities and issues in preparation for meetings, briefings, and negotiations.
- Identify opportunities and challenges and provide oversight and coordination of strategic planning and priorities and issues impacting First Nations and Métis participation in the labour market in Saskatchewan.
- Conduct research and gather information to develop policy options and recommendations appropriate for the audience.
- Represent the Ministry in inter-Ministry and inter-governmental committees and in discussions with various First Nation and Métis stakeholders to advance labour market participation strategies and initiatives.
- Consult, initiate and create opportunities to work with employers through human resource planning, identifying training needs, and the development of recruitment and retention strategies for an Indigenous workforce.
