MatchBox Consulting Group is partnering with an established mechanical contractor with a growing presence across the Lower Mainland and a strong pipeline of work extending into 2027.As the company continues to expand its commercial construction portfolio, they’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Foreman to take ownership of field operations and lead crews on active projects.

This is a great opportunity for a Red Seal Plumber with Foreman experience who wants to join a growing organization where field leaders are supported, developed, and given opportunities to take on more responsibility. You’ll work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, GCs, and other trades while playing a key role in delivering projects from rough-in through completion.

Responsibilities

You’ll take a hands-on leadership role in the field, including:

• Leading and supervising plumbing and mechanical crews on active construction sites.
• Planning daily manpower, workflow, and field activities.
• Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Coordinating with Project Managers, Superintendents, GCs, and other trades.
• Monitoring productivity, quality, and project schedules.
• Identifying and resolving field issues before they impact project delivery.
• Coordinating materials, equipment, and site requirements.
• Maintaining high standards for safety, workmanship, and site organization.
• Keeping communication strong between field crews and office teams.
• Mentoring and developing Lead Hands and other field personnel.
• Supporting mechanical project delivery from rough-in through completion.

Requirements

This opportunity is suited to a field leader who combines strong technical knowledge with the ability to keep crews organized, productive, and moving forward.

• Red Seal Plumber certification.
• Previous Mechanical or Plumbing Foreman experience.
• Strong commercial construction experience.
• Proven ability to lead and coordinate field crews.
• Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical and plumbing drawings.
• Experience coordinating with GCs, project teams, and other trades.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• A safety-first approach and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Concrete construction experience is an asset.
• BIM or 3D coordination experience is an asset.
