As our company continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Sales Lead who can help drive new business while creating an outstanding experience for every customer.

About the Role

The Sales Lead will be responsible for managing and leading the company's sales efforts while serving as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the sales process. This individual will conduct site visits, identify customer needs, prepare or assist with estimates, coordinate with our estimating team, manage sales opportunities, and ensure customers receive exceptional communication and follow-up from start to finish.

This position combines relationship-building, technical sales, project coordination, and leadership. The successful candidate will work closely with our estimators, project managers, and field teams to ensure projects move smoothly from initial consultation to completed work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the company's sales process from initial inquiry through project award.
  • Respond to new customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Build long-term relationships with commercial, agricultural, industrial, and residential clients.
  • Conduct customer meetings and on-site consultations.
  • Assess customer needs and gather project information.
  • Coordinate site visits and prepare detailed project notes.
  • Work closely with the estimating team to ensure quotations are accurate and completed on schedule.
  • Assist in preparing estimates and project proposals.
  • Follow up on quotations and actively pursue awarded projects.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers throughout the sales process.
  • Coordinate project timelines between customers and internal departments.
  • Develop new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and relationship building.
  • Track leads, opportunities, and customer communications within the company's CRM.
  • Work with management to develop sales strategies and business growth initiatives.
  • Represent Cornell Feenstra Electric professionally within the community and at industry events when required.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, account management, estimating, project coordination, or electrical/construction sales.
  • Experience within the electrical, construction, industrial, agricultural, or building services industry.
  • Ability to read construction drawings or electrical plans.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Experience using CRM software is an asset.
  • Valid Ontario Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Eligible to work in Canada.
  • Able to travel throughout Niagara Region, Hamilton, Burlington, and the Greater Toronto Area.
