Job description

Job Title: Experienced Forklift Operators

Location: Edmonton, AB

Work Type: Contract

Salary: $20 - $24 /hr

Are you an experienced Forklift operator who is looking for your next opportunity, let us help you with finding your next role. Drake works with a variety of warehouses in and around Edmonton that require operators who are motivated, reliable and dependable to keep their business moving.We are looking for Forklift operators with a positive attitude and strong work ethic, who focus on safe and efficient handling of warehouse products.

What You’ll Bring

  • Safely operate a forklift to load and unload and stack and store product around the warehouse as needed.
  • Perform regular inspections to ensure the equipment is functioning properly and report any concerns.
  • Handle products safely and securely, and ensure they are transported to the correct designated areas using the warehouse inventory system.
  • Provide support with other warehouse tasks as needed, including packaging products for shipping, and performing periodic inventory audits.
  • Follow company safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

  • Proven experience as a forklift operator. (Certification is considered an asset)
  • Have a strong understanding of forklift safety guidelines and procedures.
  • You have high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for long periods of time.
  • Must have CSA approved safety shoes.
  • Able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
