ORIGINAL POSTING :
We are a warm and busy family in Oak Bay seeking a caring, dependable, and flexible full-time nanny to care for our one-year-old son, beginning in July 2026 as I return to work from maternity leave. This is a live-out position.
Both parents work in healthcare, and our schedules can vary, so flexibility is important. The position will typically be four days a week with shifts starting early in the morning (approximately 6 : 45AM) and end around 4 : 30–5 : 00 PM, with occasional evening shifts. Very infrequent weekend or overnight care may be requested only when absolutely necessary due to work demands. Ample notice would be given. A private suite and bathroom will be provided for any overnight stays.
We are happy to offer part-time hours in June to allow for a gradual transition. This will give you the opportunity to become familiar with our routines and build a relationship with our son before starting full-time.
In addition to childcare, the ideal candidate would be comfortable helping with light household tasks related to our day-to-day routines. This may include tidying common areas, preparing simple meals or picking up groceries, and assisting with light housekeeping. We value someone who is proactive and enjoys contributing to a well-run home.
We are looking for someone who is nurturing, reliable, and engaged. We hope to find someone who is interested in forming a long-term relationship and becoming a trusted, consistent presence in our child’s life as he grows.
