Maples Adolescent Treatment Centre
Job Summary
The Team
The Maples Adolescent Treatment Centre is a program of the Provincial Services Division within the Ministry of Children ad Family Development. The Maples is a designated provincial mental health facility providing on-site, community, outreach and ancillary services to collaboratively support youth, families and communities. The Maples target population consists of troubled youth in British Columbia with significant psychiatric and / or behavioral and / or emotional difficulties, ages twelve (12) to seventeen (17); as well as youth found Not Criminally Responsible by Reason of Mental Disorder (NCRMD) or Unfit to Stand Trial under the Criminal Code of Canada and Youth Criminal Justice Act. Additional services include community consultation service training / capacity building opportunities and ongoing sharing of current literature. Through a multi-disciplinary approach, our objective is to collaboratively enhance the capacity of communities to plan and care for challenging youth through a closer to home focus.

The Role
Under the direction of a Shift Supervisor or Program Coordinator, the Nurse 4A preforms vital work as a member of an interdisciplinary team, providing direct, comprehensive nursing care to clients at The Maples Adolescent Treatment Centre. The position impact the lives of youth, families, and communities by offering on-site, community, outreach and ancillary mental heath services. Qualifications
Education and Experience :
- Registered with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM) with a designation of RPN or RN
- Standard First Aid & CPR-C & AED
- Occupational First Aid (OFA) Level 1

There are currently two (2) full-time permanent positions and three (3) temporary on-call, as-and-when-needed opportunities available until 08 / 28 / 2026
