Fortinet isrecruiting a Senior IT Specialist to join our FortiStack team based out of Burnaby BC. This team is responsible for the management operation and continued development of our Openstack-based private cloud platform. This position would represent a great fit for IT professionals with heavy experience in Linux Administration Datacenter Virtualization and supporting large-scale Production environments.

As a Senior IT Specialist you will :

• Deploy and operate an OpenStack-based private cloud including implementing measures to secure and protect data.
• Administer Linux servers (Ubuntu / Red Hat / CentOS).
• Monitor key performance metrics for servers VMs applications and networks.
• Identify document and track software defects discovered during testing.
• Develop maintain and execute tools and scripts to enable automation and self-service solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement by seeking opportunities for automation optimization and efficiency within the cloud environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems both independently and collaboratively as part of the broader team.
• Provide technical leadership by sharing knowledge and best practices across teams and peers.
• Participate in on-call support as required.

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $84000 - $110000 annually. Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market job type and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidates subject knowledge skill level qualifications and experience.
