Job descriptionNCCP gymnastics certification Level 1 or higher or Gymnastics Foundations. Fluent in English (written and oral). Current Emergency First Aid with CPR C or equivalent (8-hour+). Police Information Check is required. This work is suitable for individuals seeking occasional and / or part-time seasonal work. Pay Rate : $27.05 – 30.45 per hour Location : Bonsor Recreation Complex Hours of work : Contract position; hours and shifts are based on registration and do not provide guaranteed hours. Typical shifts include Monday 10 : 00 AM – 2 : 30 PM or 3 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 PM, and Wednesday 12 : 30 PM – 6 : 30 PM; subject to change based on operational requirements. Application deadline : December 31, 2025
Overview
The City of Burnaby has an exciting opportunity available to work in our recreation children’s gymnastic programs. These contract seasonal positions involve leading gymnastics programs for children ages 3 through 5, school-aged children 6–12 years, as well as parent and tot programs for children ages 1 through 5. Hours are based on registration and may vary.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver gymnastics programs for the specified age groups; ensure activities are engaging, safe, and inclusive.
- Collaborate with supervisors and fellow instructors to provide a positive experience for participants and families.
- Perform related work as required and adapt plans to registration demand.
