Our client, is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Network Engineer to join their network infrastructure and operations team.

In this hands-on technical role, you will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise network infrastructure spanning wireless LAN, enterprise switching, WAN connectivity, and network security systems. Operating within a collaborative hybrid environment, you will manage day-to-day network performance, configure firewall policies, and assist with cloud routing integrations. The ideal candidate pairs solid core network administration skills with a customer-centric approach, strong technical communication abilities, and a proven track record maintaining reliable campus and branch network environments.

Duration: 3-Month Contract (with potential for extension)

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days per week on-site at the corporate office near Windsor, ON)

Advantages
Enterprise Network Scope: Gain hands-on operational exposure supporting enterprise-grade Cisco wireless, switching, and cloud-integrated infrastructure.

Modern Security Sandbox: Work across next-generation firewalls (Cisco Firepower / Check Point) and cloud security access platforms (Zscaler ZIA/ZPA).

Predictable Hybrid Schedule: Enjoy a balanced hybrid model combining remote flexibility with 2 collaborative on-site days per week.

Proximity to Windsor: Ideal local engagement for network professionals based in or near the Windsor area.

Responsibilities
Wi-Fi & LAN Maintenance: Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise wireless access points, wireless LAN controllers, and campus switching fabrics.

WAN Routing & Connectivity: Support WAN routing protocols and VPN tunnels to maintain optimal cross-site performance and application traffic flow.

Network Security Operations: Maintain firewall policies, monitor perimeter security events, and assist with secure remote access rules across enterprise security appliances.

Cloud Infrastructure Support: Assist in maintaining network connectivity, transit routing, and secure gateways bridging on-premises infrastructure with Microsoft Azure cloud environments.

Incident Management & Collaboration: Respond to network tickets and escalation calls, communicate progress via MS Teams and email, and occasionally support off-hours maintenance windows when required.

Qualifications
Network Engineering Depth: 3 to 5 years of hands-on network administration and engineering experience across enterprise environments.

Core Technical Categories (3–5 Years in at least 2 of the following):

Wi-Fi / LAN: Experience with Cisco Catalyst Wireless (WLCs 9800 series, APs 9166 series) and Cisco Catalyst Switches (Catalyst 9300, 9200 series).

WAN Routing: Solid understanding of routing protocols (EIGRP, BGP, QoS, FNF, PfR) and Cisco DMVPN architectures.

Network Security: 3–5 years of hands-on experience with enterprise firewalls (Cisco Firepower, Check Point) and cloud security solutions (Zscaler ZIA / ZPA).

Cloud Exposure: 1–2 years of practical experience with Microsoft Azure cloud networking basics.

Certifications: Active Cisco CCNA certification required (CCNP or CCIE considered a strong asset).

Location & Availability: Located near Windsor, ON for 2 on-site days per week; flexible and comfortable with occasional scheduled work outside standard business hours.

Summary

Bring your network precision, customer-centric mindset, and troubleshooting skills to our client's infrastructure team today!
