About the position:

We are seeking an Application Development Specialist with a strong metallurgical background to support our technical and commercial activities in the mining industry. The successful candidate will combine hands-on technical expertise with strong problem-solving skills to help optimize mining processes, support our sales team, and represent the company at industry events.

This role involves working in both lab and field environments, including active mine sites, and requires regular travel (25–50%) within British Columbia, the Yukon, and Western Canada.

What you’ll do:

  • Conduct metallurgical testing and analysis in lab settings, with emphasis on crushing, flotation, and recovery processes.
  • Provide technical support and solutions to customers, including troubleshooting and process optimization.
  • Work directly with mining operations and site personnel to support the implementation of our technologies and products.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to provide technical expertise during customer visits, trials, and presentations.
  • Document and communicate test results, technical findings, and process improvements to both internal teams and customers.
  • Represent the company at mining industry conferences, trade shows, and technical events across Canada.
  • Contribute to the development of application strategies to expand our presence in the mining sector.
  • Other tasks as assigned

What we would like from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in metallurgical/mining operations, including hands-on work at mine sites.
  • Practical experience with crushers, flotation devices, recovery processes, and lab-scale metallurgical testing.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in lab and field environments.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time within BC, Yukon, and Western Canada.
  • Experience in a customer-facing or sales-support role is considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record

Pay and Benefits:
The annual expected salary range for this position is $70,000 – 95,000 The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
