The role focuses on resource growth, conversion, and target development through planning and execution of drilling programs, geological interpretation, and data integration to support resource development and discovery.

  • Develop and refine geological models through integration of drilling, mapping, geochemistry, and geophysics.
  • Interpret results and continuously update targeting based on incoming data.
  • Generate and prioritize exploration targets across a range of project stages.
  • Collaborate with the Exploration Superintendent to align drilling execution with technical objectives.
  • Provide technical oversight to Project Geologists and field teams, including guidance on logging, sampling, and interpretation.
  • Support resource modeling and collaborate with Technical Services teams to advance resource and reserve development.
  • Conduct geological mapping and support surface exploration programs as required.
  • Contribute to short- and long-term exploration planning aligned with project and Life-of-Mine objectives.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, updates, and recommendations to management.
  • Communicate geological interpretations, risks, and opportunities clearly to the exploration team and leadership.
  • Maintain high standards in safety, environmental compliance, and field practices.
  • Maintain and improve technical workflows, data quality, and interpretation methodologies.

Required Experience and Skill Set

  • 8+ years of experience in exploration and/or mine geology.
  • Experience in brownfields or operating mine environments.
  • Strong understanding of orogenic gold systems (Greenstone-hosted systems preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience in drill program design, geological modeling, and target generation.
  • Proficiency with geological software (e.g., Leapfrog, Vulcan, Datamine, ArcGIS Pro).
  • Strong data management and QA/QC discipline.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Job Conditions

  • Travel within Ontario.
  • Full proficiency in English.
  • Able to work outdoors in inclement weather conditions.

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to operate vehicles on paved roads and gravel tracks.

Certifications
