Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties :

• Complete deliveries and pick‑ups promptly in Cranbrook and surrounding area, adhering to scheduled routes and timeframes.
• Perform thorough pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of trucks and trailers to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
• Operate vehicles safely and efficiently, following all traffic laws and company policies.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and delivery information using Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs).
• Load and unload cargo carefully, ensuring proper handling of goods and materials.
• Secure cargo using appropriate tie‑downs, straps, or other securing devices.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise during deliveries or pick‑ups.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, both inside the cab and the cargo area.
• Report any vehicle maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist in route planning and optimisation when necessary.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Participate in ongoing training and safety meetings as required.
• Be flexible with working hours; shifts run from 6 AM to 4 PM daily, Monday‑Friday, with some flexibility required.
• Represent the company professionally at all times, maintaining a positive attitude and appearance.
