We are a group of enthusiastic, creative dreamers and builders who work hard and are exceptionally proud of what we design and create. It makes for a positive, productive, fast paced, fun and rewarding environment, with enough challenges and opportunities to keep us rapidly growing!

Bring your big imagination and great problem-solving skills to our Earthscape team as a Landscaping Maintenance Crew Member! This is a full time/seasonal opportunity to work on some of southern Ontario's most beautiful residential landscape projects, and the chance to develop and refine a wide variety of skills. In addition to excellent on-the-job training and a safe and inclusive work environment, we offer:

  • Pay rate of $23-$25/ hour depending on experience
  • Extended health and dental benefits
  • Life insurance and AD&D
  • Profit sharing and performance bonuses
  • Participate in our employee share ownership program (ESOP) after 1 year
  • Tuition reimbursement
  • Company events and social hours
  • Overtime pay
  • Clothing allowances
  • Spring return incentive

As a Skilled Landscape Maintenance Labourer you will perform manual duties to maintain landscaped environments such as mowing, raking, weeding, edging gardens, and pruning trees and shrubs. You will operate a variety of mechanical lawn equipment such as mowers, blowers, edgers and clippers. You will also plant flowers, grass, shrubs and bushes to enhance our customer's properties. As needed, the crew member will occasionally be asked to work with our landscape construction crews where they will assist our crews in the construction of hardscape areas such as pavers, flagstone, natural stone, walls, steps, drainage/utilities installation. You will report to a crew lead and your team will ensure properties are maintained to the highest standard, while having fun while you work!

To be the successful candidate you:

  • Align with Earthscape core values of integrity, hard work, team work, the pursuit of excellence and loving what we do;
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues and clients;
  • Have a passion for local plants, shrubs and trees and their respective maintenance needs;
  • Have 1-2 years of progressive experience in ornamental horticulture and landscape maintenance;
  • Enjoy working alongside other hard working colleagues;
  • Aspire for excellence in getting the job done exceptionally well the first time;
  • Enjoy working outdoors in spring, summer, and fall;
  • Encourage a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues;
  • Are comfortable operating lawn and garden machinery;
  • Have a minimum G Class license.

At Earthscape, we are committed to building an environment where everyone feels included, valued, and heard. Diversity, inclusion, and belonging are an important part of our everyday work, and it is our belief that they enable us to reach our goal of bringing incredible outdoor spaces to life. We strongly encourage applications from Indigenous Peoples, racialized people, people with disabilities, people from gender and sexually diverse communities and/or people with intersectional identities.
