Job description
Are you an experienced Plastic Injection Mold Machine Operator? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? Do you want to work close to home? Then we have the position for you.

This is an amazing opportunity located in AJAX, ON and this position is a straight midnight shift. The rate of pay is $23.00-$25.00 per hour + shift premium and we are looking for a candidate that is flexible and adaptable within a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities
What you will be doing?

• Performs set-up, start-up, shutdown, operation, and troubleshooting of injection mold machines
• Observe and adjusts machine set up and operation to eliminate defective parts, reduce scrap and optimize cycle times.
• Ensure machines are running as per production schedule
• Performs minor maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment, preventative maintenance, and minor rebuilds.
• Responding to machine alarms. Troubleshooting injection equipment.
• Maintaining material supplies to machines
• Documentation of quality checks at set intervals
• Initiate corrective action for non-conformances
• Documentation of production paperwork
• Documentation of process adjustments
• Preventative maintenance of molds as prescribed
• Daily and weekly sanitizing of machines and molds
• Changeover of machines for different products
• Issuing work orders for machine, molds, and safety issues
• Dispose of scrap into proper containers
• Maintain a clean work area
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Other related duties as directed by management.


Qualifications
What do you need to bring to the position?

• 2-5 years of experience operating plastic injection mold manufacturing machine(s)
• Mechanical problem-solving aptitude and skill.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Must be able to follow directions, both verbal and written, including simple instructions and diagrams.
• For selected tasks, color and depth perception may be required.
• Ability to perform routine computer data entry and queries is required.
