Ensure the facility operates in full compliance with all health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations ensuring all employees are held accountable for our safety and environmental systems.

Ensure company policies and values are implemented and maintained throughout the organization and all legal requirements are met.

Oversee production processes to optimize efficiency, quality, and equipment reliability.

Lead strategic planning and implement continuous process improvements.

Implement operational excellence practices and monitor KPIs like downtime, production loss, and mill efficiency.

Participate in the department operating budgeting process,

Work closely with other operating and maintenance departments,

Candidates must have strong leadership, communication, problem-solving and organizational skills,

Candidates should have strong computer skills including experience with MS Office.

What you must have :

Bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred or at least 5 years of experience in a kraft mill department such as digester, bleach or pulp machine.

Minimum of 3 years of experience supervising employees in a unionized environment.

Excellent communicator, insightful, self-aware, and able to listen to employees and integrate feedback into the operations. Strong belief in continuous improvement and the ability to understand market trends and drive business decisions.

Strong analytical skills with an aptitude for translating quantitative and qualitative data into actionable plans. A strong financial acumen is required.

Excellent organizational skills including planning, prioritizing, and delegating.

Strong computer skills including MS Office.

Candidates must be able to legally work within Canada at the time of applying for the position.

Salary / Rate Range : $100,000 -$120,000
