  • Want to be part of a supportive team that celebrates your culture and helps you succeed?

At CommBank, we're proud to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students through our Indigenous School-Based Traineeship Program.

This is more than just work experience. It's a chance to build confidence, learn new skills, meet great people and take positive steps towards your future while you're still at school.

  • Receive credits towards your HSC, VCE, TCE or equivalent senior school certificate
  • Develop valuable skills that can help set you up for future study, employment and career opportunities

More Than Just Work Experience

Throughout the program, you'll have support every step of the way, including:

  • Support and mentoring from your Group Training Organisation (GTO)
  • Monthly Yarning Circles where you can connect with other Indigenous employees and trainees
  • Industry-recognised certifications to strengthen your resume
  • Opportunities to meet and learn from leaders and employees across CommBank
  • A supportive team that wants to see you succeed

Who Can Apply?

You may be eligible if you:

  • Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
  • Will be turning 16 in 2027
  • Are starting Year 11 or Year 12 in 2027
  • Be enthusiastic, reliable and eager to learn
