Job description
Our client in Brampton is seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator to join their night shift (10 PM - 6:30 AM) production team. You will be responsible for operation of CNC machinery, including Lathe and Milling machines. This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints, adjusting CNC programs to meet required tolerances, and ensuring the high accuracy and quality of all machined parts.

Responsibilities
- Setup and operate CNC machinery, including Lathe and Milling machines, for production.
- Read and interpret drawings to maintain required machine tolerances on parts.
- Modify and adjust CNC machining programs and offsets to meet drawing specifications.
- Use various precision measuring instruments to conduct First-off and in-process inspections.
- Replace tools and inserts as needed based on in-process inspection results.
- Make subassemblies using hand tools and power tools.
- Operate manual machines as required.
- Package and apply proper identification to machined parts for shipping.
Follow standard work practices, method sheets, and instructions.
Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to Lean Manufacturing principles and FEM requirements.
Report equipment and tool malfunctions or damages to the supervisor.
Complete other production-related tasks as directed by the supervisor.


Qualifications
- Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprint drawings is essential.
- At least 2–5 years of prior CNC experience (Lathe and Milling machines).
- Ability to follow engineering instructions.
- Ability to use various measuring instruments and hand/power tools.
- Crane training is an asset.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
