Job description

Sterling Fleet Outfitters exists to help companies Get More Done. Who wouldn't want to embody that? Time is a finite resource, and wasting it isn't in our DNA—we don't believe it's in our customers' either.

So, what does “More” mean to you?
More billable hours? More efficiency on the job? More time at home with family? Whatever your “More” looks like, we're here to help you achieve it.

Sterling is the go-to provider for electricians, plumbers, telecom contractors, and HVAC technicians seeking high-quality van and truck equipment that boosts productivity. Whether our customers operate a single vehicle or manage large fleets, they rely on our innovative thinking, quality craftsmanship, and commitment to getting the job done right.

Since our launch in 2002, we've grown into Western Canada's premier commercial vehicle outfitter, with recognition across North America. Our success is built on the dedication of our skilled, efficient, and hardworking team.

We're currently looking for a detail-oriented Service Writer to help coordinate workflow, support production planning, and keep jobs moving smoothly from start to finish.

Why Work at Sterling?

  • Update work orders and job data in company systems
  • Support material tracking and production documentation
  • Inspect and organize incoming vehicles for efficient production flow
  • Coordinate subcontractor activities as needed
  • Support job handoffs between departments to ensure smooth execution
  • Maintain accurate records and help keep the production floor organized and efficient

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail with a high standard for accuracy
  • Honest, accountable, and willing to take ownership of mistakes and outcomes
  • Customer-facing experience and professional communication skills
  • Takes initiative without needing constant direction
  • Reliable, consistent, and able to follow through on commitments and deadlines
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-style environment
  • Strong computer skills, including:
    • Microsoft Excel
