Reporting to the Department Manager, Civil, Structural & Architectural, this position is located at our #Vancouver, BC, #Burlington, ON, or #Saskatoon, SK offices. Final salary will be based on relevant and applicable experience, education, and the specific skill set and qualifications required for the role.

Expected :

  • Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Civil Engineering with eligibility to register as a Professional Engineer in Canada
  • 10-15 years of earthwork, buried and surface run utilities experience
  • Tailings / slurry piping layout design experience is an asset
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers and design personnel
  • Experience in storm water management, stormwater runoff calculations, sizing of ditches, culverts and ponds
  • Good understanding of various coordinate systems and survey controls
  • Experience in interpreting and applying geotechnical design recommendations on civil designs
  • Experience in interpreting geotechnical & hydrology reports
  • Engineering experience in private fire protection systems
  • Excellent organizational, technical, written and computer skills
  • Knowledge of general civil designs and an understanding of industry codes, standards and construction methods
  • Experience with Civil 3D software would be an asset
  • Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required
