Java developer Jobs in North Vancouver, BC

MatchBox Consulting Group is currently seeking a Senior Java Developer for a permanent, full-time opportunity with our client based in Vancouver.

This is a fully Hybrid position, offering the chance to work with a talented engineering team on large-scale, high-availability systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of Java and experience in building scalable backend services, along with a strong commitment to clean code and high-performance systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and build enterprise-scale services using Java in an agile development environment
• Develop deployment systems for Java-based systems and contribute to the CI/CD pipeline
• Write comprehensive unit tests and integration tests for your code
• Collaborate with product owners, test teams, and other developers on system improvements and issue resolutions
• Participate in monitoring and support of production systems

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Core Java development
• Strong experience with multi-threaded programming, Springboot and service-oriented architecture
• Proficiency in Linux and network protocols such as HTTP, TLS, TCP
• Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, test-driven development, and continuous integration systems
• Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, MongoDB) and big data technologies
• Exposure to cloud computing, containerization, and virtualization is a plus
