Required immediately, our Edmonton Branch is seeking a Full Time Laminate Countertop Installer - Sub Contractor

FLOFORM Countertops is a Canadian company with its head office in Winnipeg, MB and has 16 branches and 5 manufacturing facilities located in Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest. FLOFORM manufactures, sells and installs over 20,000 premium surface countertops a year. Established in 1961, FLOFORM is proud to be one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies.

The successful candidate will have:

Have related education and/or previous experience in a similar industry
have experience in construction, masonry or trades
Basic understanding of plumbing an asset
Basic math skills
Ability to handle challenging situations with diplomacy and respect
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
Be able to lift upwards of 200 lbs. assisted
Work with a team and make sound decisions
Have valid driver’s license and clean criminal record

Duties and Responsibilities

Correctly install laminate/solid surface countertops on site, while maintaining a professional demeanor
Cleanly remove the existing countertop and plumbing if required
Respond to customer inquiries and/or concerns while on the job site
Contacts office to resolve any concerns that cannot be addresses on the job site
Troubleshoots technical problems related to the installation as they arise
Works as closely to the schedule as possible and contacts customer if running behind
Maintains company vehicle interior and exterior to the Companies standards
Regular bending, kneeling and twisting
Ability to work overtime as required
Regular local travel to clients homes and occasional out of town work
Other duties as assigned
