Position Summary:
The HVAC Mechanical Sales Rep will be responsible for generating sales primarily to mechanical contractors within the lower mainland territory. This role involves promoting and selling a wide range of HVAC mechanical products. You will leverage your expertise to build strong relationships, identify new business opportunities, and deliver tailored solutions to meet the needs of your clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with mechanical contractors, building and nurturing long-term partnerships to drive sales growth.
  • Product Promotion: Promote and sell a diverse line of mechanical products, aligning product offerings with contractor needs.
  • Technical Support: Provide in-depth technical assistance to contractors during product selection, design, and project planning, ensuring that solutions meet specific project requirements and specifications.
  • Client Engagement: Collaborate with contractors to understand their unique project needs, offer expert advice, and identify opportunities to deliver value through customized mechanical equipment solutions.
  • Quotations & Proposals: Prepare and deliver accurate quotations, proposals, and tenders for mechanical products, ensuring compliance with project specifications and competitive pricing.
  • Sales Cycle Management: Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation and opportunity identification to closing sales and providing post-sale support.
  • Market Insights: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and new technologies to provide contractors with cutting-edge solutions and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
  • Customer Service: Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction by promptly addressing any inquiries, concerns, or technical issues that arise during or after the sales process.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the HVAC or mechanical equipment industry, with a strong background in selling to mechanical contractors.
  • Product Knowledge: In-depth experience with HVAC mechanical equipment, knowledge of their applications and technical aspects is a significant asset.
  • Sales Expertise: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and building strong relationships with contractors.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to offer technical support and guidance to contractors in selecting and applying mechanical equipment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly to clients.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation and closing abilities, with experience managing all aspects of the sales cycle.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM systems.
  • Education: A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or relevant industry experience.
  • Self-Motivated: A proactive, results-driven individual with a strong work ethic, able to work independently and as part of a team.
