Nanny Position with the Teichrib Family in Courtenay, BC

We are the Teichrib family, based in the vibrant community of Courtenay, British Columbia, and we’re seeking a dedicated, live-out nanny to join us part-time. My three children Kale, Peter, and Iris are in primary school in Cumberland, and we need a compassionate, reliable individual to provide exceptional care, assist with school drop-offs and pickups, prepare dinners, and help with light housekeeping to keep our home tidy.

Role Details :

Schedule : Part-time, Monday to Friday, during alternating weeks (2 weeks on, 2 weeks off, following our custody schedule). Hours are 7 : 00 AM–10 : 00 AM for morning prep and school drop-off in Cumberland, and 2 : 30 PM–5 : 30 PM for school pickup and dinner prep, can adjust for a full 8 hours / day or 40 hours per week.
Tasks :
Morning (7 : 00 AM–10 : 00 AM) : Prepare breakfast, help kids get ready (dressing, packing lunches), and drop them off at school in Cumberland by 8 : 45 AM. Optional light housekeeping (e.g., tidying, kitchen cleanup) after drop-off until 10 : 00 AM.
Afternoon (2 : 30 PM–5 : 30 PM) : Pick up children from school in Cumberland at 2 : 30 PM, bring them to our home in Courtenay (~10–15 minute drive), prepare dinner, and occasionally serve it until I return by 5 : 30 / 6 : 00 PM.
Optional midday housekeeping (e.g., 9 : 00 AM–12 : 00 PM) available during “on” weeks if more morning hours are needed.
Hours : Up to 8 hours / day (3 hours morning, 3 hours afternoon adjustable), totaling ~30-40 hours / week during “on” weeks. Flexible to adjust hours somewhat.
Location : School pickups and drop-offs in Cumberland, BC; home in Courtenay, BC.

Requirements :

Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for school pickups and drop-offs between Cumberland and Courtenay.
Experience with primary school-aged children and comfortable managing three kids.
Basic cooking skills for simple, family-friendly meal prep.
Ability to perform light housekeeping tasks (tidying, vacuuming, kitchen cleanup, or laundry).
Clean criminal background check and references required.

Compensation : Competitive wage of $20–$30 / hour, negotiable based on experience and hours.
