Job descriptionYou have a bachelor's degree or technical diploma in mechanical or aeronautical engineering with a minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in aerospace or the related industry. You possess a strong knowledge of test bench design, manufacturing, detailed design (sheet metal, machined parts, welding, hydraulic piping, loading system, component assembly, and electrical harness installation), drafting procedures and standards. You have good knowledge of CATIA V5R21 & up, ENOVIA, and Google tools is required. You are familiar with electrical design, instrumentation, control panel design and instrumentation assemblies Knowledge of AutoCAD is an asset You are an energetic, autonomous person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills that will allow the candidate to meet desired results in a high-pressure working environment. You have a high sense of commitment, willingness to accept responsibilities and act independently and the ability to collaborate with partners and suppliers are assets. Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical development of new ground test equipment with a holistic approach.
- Oversee the update and maintenance of existing ground test equipment.
- Ensure the delivery of a fully integrated engineering solution for the system under test.
- Produce project status reports and ensure that engineering deliverables, meeting quality requirements, are provided on schedule.
- Apply your knowledge to provide solutions to a variety of technical challenges of moderate scope and complexity, using a combination of judgment and defined practices and procedures.
- Collaborate with experienced, dynamic, and efficient multidisciplinary teams dedicated to projects to achieve results.
- Be actively involved in the realization of your designs by supporting the manufacturing, assembly, installation, and validation phases of your achievements as a designer.
- Implement continuous improvements of the tools themselves or the development chain of tools.
- You will be required to work in collaboration with IV Toulouse.
- Provide cost and system evaluations.
- Ensure the maintenance and operation of the Flight Test Installation (FTI) to guarantee its availability and validity, in alignment with customer needs and by the FTI architecture and resources.
