Our client is searching for a General Manager to join their team and lead their civil and construction operations. This role will be responsible for overseeing all facets of the construction process, ensuring efficient, high-quality project delivery that meets client expectations. A successful candidate will have a strong background in civil construction and engineering and construction management, and a proven track record of successfully managing projects and teams.
Your success will be defined by your ability to :
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the company’s civil construction division
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to drive operational excellence
- Monitor project planning, scheduling, and budgeting to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Manage and coordinate the activities of construction teams
- Guarantee adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental guidelines
- Build and maintain strong, effective relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and other team members
- Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to senior management and clients
- Monitor overall fleet effectiveness and efficiency
- Identify and address potential risks and issues to ensure project success
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and adopt innovative construction methods and technologies
- Manage financial performance, including cost control, revenue forecasting, and profitability analysis
- Ensure optimal resource allocation and effective utilization to enhance productivity and efficiency
